RESTORATION
OF VINTAGE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP SIGN |

| This
was a 1948 double sided porcelain neon sign from a dealership in
Manchester,NH. The sign sat in a shed on the dealership property for
60 years.
Atlantic Neon Co. LLc was chosen to restore it to original condition
for the opening of there new complex. Some Chevrolet signs of that period
where made with white neon tubes but this sign was made with clear red
neon. We stripped it down to basic
components. The porcelain was restored and brought to original
condition. The metal cabinet was duplicated and painted (it was completely rusted
out). The neon was remade using the bending style of the 1950's
period. For electrical safety, new PK housings, wiring, and
transformers were added. |
